zas, ruaok, etc., Any idea what's up with the webservice? http://stats.metabrainz.org/dashboard/db/musicbra… It looks like the gateways are returning 503 for *all* webservice requests, none are hitting the backend

hi, I try to get a json response via https://musicbrainz.org/ws/2/release?query= and Accept header set to json, but I always get the xml. Is this working properly?
      • 2016-05-20 14114, 2016

Guys, have a small postgresql question ...
      • 2016-05-20 14133, 2016

      • UmkaDK
When the database is setup, where should the musicbrainz schema go: under the system postgres database or under the musicbrainz_db database?
      • 2016-05-20 14146, 2016

      • UmkaDK
        Does anyone know?
      • 2016-05-20 14111, 2016

      • alastairp
I'm not sure what you're asking - are you doing things manually which the init_db script normally does?
      • 2016-05-20 14142, 2016

      • alastairp
I'm not super familiar with pg schemas, but I believe they apply to a database, therefore it should be on musicbrainz_db
      • 2016-05-20 14103, 2016

      • UmkaDK
Yes, we are doing things manually... and I'm not super familiar with pg schemas either

In the postgres database on the same cluster: https://gist.github.com/alastair/dda8308e7f0f0768…

Gore: ok, not the issue i was thinking of (which was only on rate limiter errors), this one is a MBS issue, can you report it on the bug tracker (search before, perhaps known)

      • 2016-05-20 14147, 2016

      • alastairp
from my first gist, I believe here cover_art_archive is the schema name, and cover_art is the table name
      • 2016-05-20 14110, 2016

      • alastairp
perhaps your DBAs moved the musicbrainz schema and not the cover_art_archive one?

      • 2016-05-20 14115, 2016

      • zas
Gore: i know because i discussed recently about xml vs json with bitmap, in order to fix the lua-based rate limiter error messages. Basically, &fmt= has priority over Accept header, and when no fmt nor header is specified the response defaults to xml.
      • 2016-05-20 14115, 2016

      • alastairp
