I did, that's why I said either it's facing a lag or me
and it was me
yes :)
Freso didn't receive any messages that BrainzBot didn't receive

And yes, it looks like the GCI interface decide to create two tasks.

I sent the same duplication one before, so it's alright
Freso deletes one
Freso
Ah, okay.

Freso: I don't think finding a library is a good separate task
Freso
Alright.
Gentlecat
the person who finds one will probably end up integrating it anyway
and if they can't then it would be difficult to justify choosing one over another
Freso
WYSIWYG has been published as well. :)
That's 6 hours of work clocked in today so far. I think it's time for a break!

Freso: Screenshot can be enough or may be we can ask for the username on the LB website and then check ourselves?
Freso
armalcolite: I'd say both. :)

I'll look later. I'm trying to take a break. :p
armalcolite
Freso: sure. Enjoy the break. :D

i noticed that picard clustering functionality has a lot of code to support clustering based on inexact string matches, but it looks like the threshold is statically set to 1.0. am i correct that this basically turns off all approximate string matching other than that based on stripping out 'less-significant' characters like nonword or space?
from the git history it looks like it's been like this since the clustering was introduced ... ?
though i'm not sure what 'the original Picard' is referred to in 943048f0ec2a041e2392e1d49c3754da605d7580 commit message
anshuman73: LB still lacks the profile page so i am not sure if that can be done as of now. Creating a profile page for LB is also one of the items on the TODO list. (there should be a ticket for the same) If you want, you can go ahead and create one.

armalcolite: what are your views on then making it something like critiquebrainz ?
we could have one tab as listens and another for profile
and then ofc, the edit profile button
and I could perhaps try and implement the avatar then :)
armalcolite: views ^
armalcolite
that looks like a good idea to me if you want to try
we would be needing more tabs in future for more statics generation that can be added as well
anshuman73
Gentlecat, armalcolite: I hope it is okay if I reuse some code from CB ?
armalcolite: sure, adding tabs shouldn't be a problem.
armalcolite
anshuman73: surely you can (if Gentlecat approves, obviously :P)

since the other listenbrainz developers (ruaok, alastairp) are not around may be others can suggest if there are any changes needed.

bitmap: PR reviews please, if you are free :) , also I was going to start work on PICARD-170 , can you tell which all additional columns I should add as an option in the context menu?
are you thinking of using an external library to facilitate that?
samj1912
there is python-magic, but we can code it in picard too
bitmap
it's a good idea, but probably low-impact since 99.99% of people have correct file extensions
samj1912
Hmmm, I'll try my hands on it, if it takes me less than a day to code the picard supported formats I'll do it :)
I don't think it should take that much time though?

bitmap
with python-magic, I doubt it
samj1912
Nope, natively?
Python magic will involve extra dependencies
bitmap
this isn't the kind of thing I would want picard re-implementing
samj1912
Hmm, then it will hardly take time :p
bitmap any picard ideas you have in mind that I can work on for more than a week? I am digging through jira currently to find things :p
bitmap
make the UI faster :P
(but best to wait until qt5 for that)
samj1912
I was thinking we can do a couple of upgrades with picard 2.0, like improving the icons to something more modern and making picard more user friendly, maybe an onboarding?
