Big shout-out to the ListenBrainz team, just now saw that the Last.fm importer tool uses usernames (maybe it's been like this for a while but I haven't checked for a long time).

Super excited to see that project grow and develop :)

i am new to open source and GSOC .i know python,C,C++,MySQL,Mongodb and am interested in these two projects 1.picard(pyqt5/py3), 2.BookBrainz(Data Importing) am i eligible and any help where to start

leaper: Yes. Read the guide linked to from the GSoC page.

jwf: Note that LB will move from alpha to beta Soon™ and will drop all current data in the process, since the beta will have a much better way of importing Last.fm data (ie., will retain more details) than the current one. Just a heads up. :)

(The old data will be preserved and can be reimported from an archived "alpha" site for a while at least as well, e.g., if you've sent listens directly to LB.)

Freso: I saw that disclaimer, I don't mind the database being blown away while it's being developed. I'm mostly excited for its potential and I'm more than happy to contribute some listening data for it in the meanwhile.

well, i'm ok with most of your suggestions, i wouldn't merge more PRs for 1.4.1, i was expecting the album cover art PR from antlarrr, but i guess we can just freeze now, and release soon, mostly because of the macosx drag'n'drop fix

I have also been trying to open tickets in JIRA before sending PRs for bug fixes. Would be good to have bugs documented for the future.

I have most of the work done here: https://github.com/antlarr/picard/tree/samj1912... but this afternoon I have to rebase everything and I'll open another branch. It just got too messy when I was working against your branch since everything was moving too fast and got too many conflicts

I'll cherry pick a few commits from there and fix everything later)
