Freso: is it acceptable to temporarily amandon a submitted-for-review task so I can claim the meeting task?

naiveai: hey if helps to know, initially before MetaBrainz, I tried a task of another organisation, wasn't for me so abandoned it, after which it removed the option for me to claim the task again.

naiveai: usually probably npot.. however if it was sure you would reclaim that other task... what are the reasons that it isn't approved yet? ie you or the mentor hasn't gone over the code yet

chhavi_, they're a way to specify the credit for an author/editor/whathaveyou as on the cover of a book. So, for example, a collection of Edgar Allan Poe's short stories credited as "by E. A. Poe" could be entered as such, with "E. A. Poe" linking to the Edgar Allan Poe entity.

Oh so basically, "what's on the cover" is the way it's credited. Which may or may not be same as the way the entity is credited.

I submitted a pr to fix the caa indexer so it stops crashing (by losing connection to the db), and can reload config on sighup https://github.com/metabrainz/CAA-indexer/pull/14

Another thing I've done is, in response to the spam incidents we've had in both channels recents, inviting Sigyn to both channels.

Sigyn is Freenode's anti-spam bot and will kick spammers based on some criteria.

She's already kicked at least one spammer from this channel that I noticed.

The last two weeks of the year was mad!

First week was mad! first I had a personal issue, then my mac developed very bad issues with its fan.

Second week I took my mac to the repairshop, and it's gonna be some extra costs to repair, but within a budget I have :D

(oh and, it was Yule and everything :P)

First week of the new Year was Mad! I've been doing GCI task mentoring on GamePC!

Much thanks to reosarevok and MajorLurker for helping me with instruments, second opinions and general being awesome at mentoring loads of tasks (mostly this one isMajorLurker :P)

I aim for the next week to continue gci task mentoring and getting my mac back!

MajorLurker has been awesome indeed :)

I've also been adding instruments, making a task for a spesific student who was doing baltic instrument fixes
