MBS-10255: Explain when to use "Copy all track titles to associated recordings" and "Copy all track artist credits to associated recordings" when editing a release

Hi! I'm trying to set up Audacious to send listens to Listenbrainz. I'd like to do it only with patches to Audacious, and not remap the Last.fm API in /etc/hosts. Has anyone accomplished this? Is it just a matter of changing the URLs? Is there reason changing the URLs wouldn't work? (I tried, but am getting "There was a problem contacting Last.fm." from Audacious, even though I approved the API client on Listenbrainz.) Thanks!
(I patched SCROBBLER_URL to "https://beta.listenbrainz.org/2.0/".)
(I tried api. rather than beta. first, but I couldn't log into the api. Web site since the MusicBrainz OAuth failed.)
Strangely, it *has* submitted some listens, somehow.
I guess it's working, and only the connection-test is erroring out. Strange...
Actually no, it's not working in real time... it successfully submits items, but only when I run the connection-test (which shows the error message). Maybe I need to patch out the "test" part of the connection test, and make it assume it always succeeded.

metabrainz/picard#4726 (master - ddb628c : Sambhav Kothari): The build passed.
Unfortunately it seems to be submitting every song only a little is listened to, instead of waiting half a song, but I guess that's the Audacious plugin's bug...

kyan: Hi :)
Ideally you’d submit listens to ListenBrainz using the ListenBrainz API rather than the Scrobbling (Last.FM) API, in which case it’ll require more code than just changing a URL.
(That one both lists the URL to use for the Last.FM proxy API as well as has details about how to use its native API.)

Thanks! Yeah, that's what I was trying to follow... Unfortunately I don't have the requisite combination of time and/or coding skill to implement the native API, so I used the "Last.FM API" (not the "AudioScrobbler API") (didn't do the /etc/hosts thing, and I'm not running the Listenbrainz server myself)
It seems to be sort of working, aside from some duplicate listens showing up and including ones where I didn't listen to most of the track...

CatQuest: nah, it's fine as MBS - the Style answer is just "when needed" :p
pristine__: were you trying to run something on the cluster some time ago? My container kept dying and I wonder if it was because of both of us running the same container name?

iliekcomputers: I can believe that.

yeah, it started working again automagically so i thought
