I took all that into account and got the first results yesterday. hopefully I can play with the annoy indexes later and really make something happen for reals.
its getting exciting now. :)
oh. and I worked on fixing more timescale migration bugs, and this week I need to start a test migration...
fin.
who is left?
Freso
(People still up: pristine__, bitmap, diru1100, jmp_music, Cyna[m], _lucifer, shivam-kapila – anyone else who wants to give review, let me know ASAP!)
ruaok
bitmap: go
bitmap
hello!
last week I was mostly digging into MBS-10939 and MBS-10940, and looking for ways to improve that in the long term
I have commits to fix both of those, just a short term fix for the former for now. plus another improvement to cache paginated result counts in certain places
ruaok
CatQuest: the recording issue is a bug on the mb.org side
bitmap
this should resolve some recent load issues on floyd
zas
bitmap: was the high load from this morning related?
CatQuest
I remember some days ago I got 504'd on edit searches
bitmap
I think so, I checked the logs and saw the same queries again. this time they provided a valid UA though so we know what script it is
anyway I also did a bit of code review, but mostly for MBS-10921, then slacked a bit before the 4th
I am currently working on testing SB API with MB, using docker to do that.
Also, will be making more PRs as the integration part starts, excited about getting everyone's reviews and merging more PRs!!
and placement season is about to start in my college, don't know what to expect 😅
side note: cases are rising like crazy in my city(Hyd), maybe due to more testing
Thank you
jmp_music: ?
jmp_music
Hi everybody!
CatQuest
👏 diru1100 👏 :D
Freso
(Only Cyna[m], _lucifer, and shivam-kapila left! Last call for anyone else who want to go!)
jmp_music
Last week I mainly worked on imitating gaia's various preprocessing steps and the various ways of scaling of the dataset. These methods were implemented for experimentation in a Notebook and this week they will be transferred in the main app script.
I also continued working on parallelizing some functions and spent time with alastairp discussing about some methods of developing the ML tool.
This Saturday I 'll be also djing after a long long time in a private party of 300 people. haha :D
diru1100

_lucifer: Go!
_lucifer
Hi all!
I worked on creating an android version of the acoustic brainz client the last week.
I was able to cross compile the streaming extractor music program used by desktop acousticbrainz client for android and get it working.
ruaok
yay
_lucifer
Now I am working on submitting the json data generated by the extractor and submit it to AB.
I will hopefully get it working by tomorrow and make a release by Wednesday.
Testers for both LB and AB features are welcome.
That's it for me.
Freso
Only shivam-kapila left, so shivam-kapila: go!
shivam-kapila
Thanks
Hello everyone
Last week Mr_Monkey n me finalised the LB dasboard design
That looks sleek now
I migrated the design into zeplin for better move on
So that I move properly along with the proposed design
Started on the listens list and listen count card component
Also passed the first evals with a sweet message from ruaok. Recieved the 1st GSoC stipend too
ruaok
sometimes I think the fail all buttons is just to tease us.
shivam-kapila
Last 4 days I had been busy in moving. Pretty much of stress n loads of work there

Freso
CatQuest: Can you wait until after the meeting?
zas
perhaps the Fail All button isn't even wired...
ruaok
so, pristine___'s contract with us has ended. I wish I could extend it, but we need to watch our finances.
she has agreed to continue volunteering for us to continue working to get her work into production.
and then some more stuff too, perhaps.
but she's not able to start her new job yet, given the circumstances.
zas
:( she was on the move to Berlin, right?
ruaok
that said, Freso its probably best to remove her from the usual list of suspects. the meeting time is a bit late for her.
Mr_Monkey
Sorry to hear.
Freso
Yeah, I'm doing it right now.
CatQuest
hn
Mr_Monkey
