last week I finally got internet installed, ran ethernet to the office, and hung curtains in the office! things are looking really nice

I participated in the search-server training session that yvanzo mentioned, and started looking at some of the pending upgrade tasks

I also finished the tool to capture stats in AB and LB, so this week will work to see how to integrate this into granfa

I spent some time with jmp_music_ with some of his tasks, and spent some time reviewing _lucifer's CB patches (thanks!)

I also felt the pollen resurgence up, had my first (online/zoom) class of the new/current term, tried to poke at a few things, but still struggling with things.

hi everybody!

Last week I focused mainly on my setup at the Uni's office where I came back after the GSoC project, and I had a lot of meetings there too with my partners.

I have also checked how to move forward the integration of the sklearn tool, and how to reconfigure some parameters in order to read the low-level data like "gaia" style.

I did some meetings with alastairp to check this setup

By tomorrow I'll be in a break till the middle of the next week because I need some vacation. I have arranged a trip to Cyprus. So, I'm already dreaming the beach. :)

Hello Everyone!

Last week I checked out CB, its functionality, got a review from my friends.

Explore different ways to get more people into it.

Also, thought of an idea about ReadBrainz( something like ListenBrainz but for BB) but with new user collections and integration with CB. I don't think it's needed anymore.

Apart from that, have some ideas about improving CB.

I also reviewed some PRs, and spent absurd amounts of time on MBS-10999 because Perl is hard sometimes

given the current level of interest, I find it encouraging.

but, we'll have to see if things continue.

alastairp: how about we say that we'll leave CB running for at least a month and if people continue to contribute, then we'll keep the site active.

but, if it drops off again, we should shut it down.

does that seem reasonable?

as ruaok said, it's been encouraging. however... even though we've had some people helping with things, I've not seen much discussion on the forums

it'd be nice to see some comments there from those who are interested in helping to work on it

Maybe set some kind of lower threshold for what level of activity should be minimal desired. If we only get coding/sysadmin stuff, but still no one writing reviews, then it’s maybe less relevant?

but yes, with _lucifer's work recently, we should be able to push a release in the next few weeks

I think once we get a CB release ready

and that release will include the "review more things" work from a few years ago, so that might be another good impulse

the coding/sysadmin is most critical, really.

we should work on linking other Brainz to it

integrating it into our other sites can fix the problem where it has no users.

_lucifer: we can have workshops at any time. One of the benefits of having the summit is to get everyone together to work on plans for the coming year

if you have some specific ideas about what you might want to have in a workshop you can propose it and we can see if it fits in the plan
