no, 775 is the socket for Core 2 Duo/Quad and for Xeons.

I'm still on AMD socket 754, so it's not like I know what I'm talking about

it's been around for ages, and Socket 1156 is the fancy new thing which houses all the i3/i5/i7 things.

right. I thought I heard that there are 2 i7 sockets now

and i3 is pretty much ~= c2d

I started off by looking at Xeons, because I just like server hardware for no good reason :)

which is great, except it makes it difficult for me to test, since I've submitted all my CDs to mb already :)

so fake burn some fake ones :)

(on windows you could probably master one to .iso, mount with daemon tools, point picard at it)

the version should be 1.11, since that's what's in ubuntu hardy
