ianmcorvidae: Regarding the PR comment, are you sure that would work? As I understand it (but that is a big caveat, as I am by no means an expert at JavaScript), the declaration would be hoisted to the start of the function, making the outer $editimage inaccessible even before the if branch.

ah, I didn't test it on places where $editimage isn't null, so you might be right

seems that our server backups were saturating one server's ethernet link, which is odd :/

our switch does funny things at times.

for instance, how can backups that go to a 5400rpm drive over USB saturate an ethernet connection?

I guess backups maybe haven't been running so it has more to do?
