Hm... WTF? The tagger is refusing to write tags to an album. Says "Could not write metadata to track" on every track, makes a file called <filename>.temp, and locks both those and the .mp3s. I made copies of the mp3s and tried on them, same again. So now I have two copies of the album that I can't delete either of.

OK, I made a third copy, removed the existing tags through foobar, then tried them. Worked fine.

That is the first self contained windows installer for picard. Just a normal windows program to install to play with picard.

You should download it and install it.

Try and see how well it works for you.

Its a completely different approach to tagging, that's for sure.

But I like the current one! Mostly...

if you're a one track here and another track there kind of guy, then stick to v1

if you have albums to tag, picard is much faster.

I only have albums, most of the time.

I currently have 126 songs on my HD that aren't as parts of albums.
