presumably those two mods, where he voted no and didn't leave a reason
Sen
and another one relating to said band
DJKC
I don't see any other failed ones
Sen
he voted yes on a mod my friend submitted wrong
DJKC
so... send him a polite message asking why he voted that way
complaining here won't do much
Sen
i emailed him
im afraid i was a bit rude, i should have waited a few minutes to send
DJKC
anytime you send a rude message you probably should have waited...
Sen
i actually sent him two... i think ill send a third apologizing in advance
theem
sen: i noticed you were the origin of that album, sometimes people don't have the time to check that out, you could include that in your mod note
Sen
i included a comment that said "Mistagged my MP3s"
theem
i would abstain/no without that information, or yes with it (and my double checking)
yeah, but that is very vague... i'm not sure if that means the TRMs were wrong, or the songnames, or your mp3s, or the cd is different... etc
just a thought for next time :)
Sen
somerset is a rather new band that has two EPs out
and there like two people on MB that knows who they are
theem
yeah, it's one of the problems with this scale of collaboration... people often seem to protect mb data that they don't see a need to change... so you have to prove to them that it is worth changing ! but anyhow, add your mods again, i'll vote yes
Knio hates internet news sites
Sen
thank you theem
i get my news from a softcore naked girl site >.>
Knio
i'll vote yes when I see their website, the one that all the news articles say "somerset's website" and then never give any references
the other mod I submitted isnt really on the site, but I emailed the band and they told me to use that name
i mean, for the EP
album
wow i need to be more specific
Knio
link to the new mod?
nevermind
Sen
sorry
Knio
it was right at the top of my page :P
Sen
thanks guys
heh
Sen goes to get new CDs he bought to check for TOCs, TRMs, times, etc
later guys, thanks for the votes
Sen has quit
somniloquy
somniloquy is now known as somnolent
Muti joined the channel
Pipian joined the channel
cikkolata yawns
cikkolata
theem: what did you change it to?
(the voting button border thing)
cikkolata looked
>_<
who do I bug about it?
wolfsong13 joined the channel
theem
cikkolata: is it still broken?
cikkolata
I wanted to point out that using white instead of transparent makes it work in konqueror as well
wolfsong13 has left the channel
but you fixed it first :/
but it works in opera and safari now, so I'll live.
right now konq has an ugly grey border instead of none :X
cikkolata wonders if anyone uses konq...
theem
yeah, djce added the border stuff to my code, then i fixed the opera problems (opera only supports detection of nonstandard border shorthand if the color begins with a #)
cikkolata
presumably the KDE zealots
theem didn't notice this ugly grey border in konq
odd.
theem only tested with it quickly and then exited
theem
looked like there were numerous opera and konqueror display isues
cikkolata
this is konq 3.1.4 on OS X
oh?
theem
yeah, i hope no one thinks the site is supposed to look like that!
cikkolata
oh, I noticed the orange bar looking weird in konq
theem
every menu item was spread over 2 lines in mine... yuck
cikkolata
the quick searches are oddly sized in opera (I turned them off)
theem
is opera your main browser?
cikkolata
and some of the form fields are unreadable in firefox
yes
I <3 opera
theem
:)
cikkolata
I still think opera only appeals to certain people
it seems to be a love it or hate it thing.
theem hates it :)
theem
but i do like the diversity... that tends to make me follow standards more closely
Muti loves it
wasn't there a thing on slashdot comparing browser speed the other day that showed opera to be nearly 2x as fast as anything else at javascript as well? they have to be doing something right
cikkolata
I switched to opera 3.61 from IE5.5 years ago. back then, its rendering of colours was normally black on black, so I browsed with colours off, its javascript support was fucked, so I browsed with javascript off, and its rendering of frame borders was foul.
but I still loved it for being so damned fast.
and since then it's gone from a piece of shit to having better CSS support than IE in several cases (oh, transparent PNGs worked fine in 3.61, IIRC :P)
