is it normal for the MB tagger to crash on me for at least one song per album on average?

I really like how the tagger is set up, it just crashes all the time for me :(

I think I'm liking it already, just loaded my rather small music library and it seems to be going through without too many problems

picard is very beta still though

its not even really set up to match tracks on its own yet, much, but with a little help you can fly through them

the way i do it is, load the album up (through the search at the top, then click the green tagger button next to what you want) then drag the folder onto the album once its loaded. picard will automatically put them all where they go

there's a great danish post-punk band called 'sort sol' which split up this year. from the late 70s until 84, they played mostly as 'sods'. the 'sods' releases are in the mb database, but they're listed under sort sol. there's one sods song listed but mistakenly under 'the sods'. i've tried to change that. but what i'm wondering is whether the sods releases should be listed under sods instead of sort sol, maybe with a relation

i think part of the problem is that the sods albums were re-released in the 90s after the band had changed their name, but still with 'sods' on the cover. :)

re-released albums still go under the original name though :)
