Anyone know if there’s a way, in python, to fix borked character encoding? Ie, to turn “³¡À̶ó ¹Ï´Â ±×´ë” into “끝이라 믿는 그대”?

You could iconv() it, but detecting what encoding something is is quite hard.

(Except for some encodings, terms and conditions apply, etc.)

well, at least for all these, it seems it’s always Hangul in EUC-KR encoding.

The way I do it now is just tiresome - copy the tags to a text file, pop it in Firefox, and manually set the encoding, just to even identify the files

Hmm, iconv from EUC-KR gives "Detected an illegal character in input string" here, maybe I failed at copy'n'paste.
