I've got a few CDs that are unrecognized and when I go to the URL for them, it says "No release found with the given DiscID foo. Please try again." (with the discid). Usually there's a link to add the release info, but for 3-4 so far that's not there. I can't seem to find any solutions to this online, anyone have any ideas?

if I take the disc ID it gives me on that page, is there a link to click on on the release page that will let me add it?

it's weird that the regular "Attach TOC to release" stuff isn't on the page, wondering if something I'm doing is broken or what

yeah, but even if it is legal: i normally don't carry my cd collection around. i bet some overeager custom officers will make trouble.

And I don't have all the music I have in mp3 library in my cd collection.

but either way, it's a rediculous policy, and I hope it never comes to light

but without carrying your entire collection with you, you can't easily prove it there and then, so fuck knows how much hassle they'd give you before you get a chance to prove it

That's one problem with, for example, digital photographs. If you see your picture used without permission, it may be pretty hard to prove you've actually taken that picture.

I wonder how much effort they would put into it anyway...

I know a guy who got a customs officer following him home, because he had a huge backpack full of camera equipment and that officer decided he's bought it all abroad and tries to smuggle it in.

Wizzcat: I would actually imagine them having some stupid tool which only works with specific filesystems/operating systems/directory structures because officials are never any good at implementing something that works like they say it does :P
