Yes, it looks a little odd, but thats just because its new.
brianfreud
aCiD2: what do you think
navap
If you look at the search pages, they always show the relevent column on the left.
You read left to right..etc
navap hopes no one says anything about other languages that read right to left :p
brianfreud leaves it as it is now...
brianfreud
It takes a little getting used to, but it does make a TON more sense
navap
Slip it into your next excercise break, see what peoples reactions are.
Excersie being all the push/pulling you've been doing :p
brianfreud
lol
navap
My spelling is terrible, exercise*
brianfreud
well, I have the next 2 days off, so I hope to get all the rest of the templates done, then I've decided to make the few tables screen-reader happy (was reading up on it while waiting for the bus after work :P), then merge in pronik's work, then merge up to aCiD2's branch, and fix all the forms stuff I've currently broken with my mix of the old and new forms code :P
navap
Looks like you're in for plenty of exercise.
brianfreud
:)
pbryan had too much deep fried food and expects to ROTFHAHA.
I'll leave the server running, if anyone else wants to see what it looks like with the release column moved
brianfreud: Maybe shift the Date column to be inbetween Title and Tracks?
brianfreud
I was thinking that too
symphonick has quit
but I think track count is more important info than date
navap
It's a little more "important" data.
It is, but I think it would look odd to split the track/disc/puid trio.
brianfreud
exactly
navap
Which means, if you didn't split it, Dates ends up just one spot ahead of where it is now.
brianfreud
I think moving the release title column is a big enough change
navap
Ya
brianfreud
and official > date, imho
navap
Column sorting would actually be *really* nice :)
brianfreud plans to add it w/js - code already written, just needs integration
Awesome
brianfreud
ok, back to code :)

Picard keeps incorrectly tagging my music. :(
aCiD2
That's pretty nice actually brian...
navap
Incorrect according to what?
Samuel-NotAFK
navap: Incorrect names.
aCiD2
Order should be title, tracks, date though, imo
Samuel-NotAFK
Track names, author, album, etc
aCiD2
and brian, what have you done to the search box :P
brianfreud
aCiD2: Right now, everything is a mix of old and new forms code
Going to fix it all when I merge up to your branch
aCiD2
you might want to pull upstream/master btw, it has some fixes to that page
like correctly showing nats, and correct sorting
navap
Samuel-NotAFK: How are you looking the data up? Have an example of an album?
brianfreud
well, I have every template that's not yet converted loaded in gedit atm, would rather do that painful merge all in one go, rather than part now, part later
Samuel-NotAFK
navap: Individual songs.
aCiD2
brianfreud: sure thing
Samuel-NotAFK
navap: Albums seem to be tagged fine.
brianfreud figures to do that in 4-5 hrs :P
navap
Well, Picard is definitley oriented towards tagging albums, not individual songs.
brianfreud
aCiD2: as afar as you recall, did you ever use th tags anywhere?
navap
Try clicking the bottom lookup button and manually matching the track with one oneline.
Samuel-NotAFK
navap: But sometimes I download invidual songs.
navap: Manually FTL
navap
Individual songs ftl..
Samuel-NotAFK
navap: But most songs in albums are poopoo.
catgroove
ARGMOMBASSA
ok so dildos neigbours are screaming and hollering at 01:21
Samuel-NotAFK
navap: So I should only download full albums from The Pirate Bay from now on?
catgroove
not the same neigbours that whine about me though
but still
navap
Get better albums then ;) Can't have it both ways. A portion of the data that Picard uses to match a file is comprised of album specific data, like track number, album name, album artist..
Samuel-NotAFK
catgroove: And that bothers you?
catgroove
everybody are assholes me included, but there are a separated rules for me, and everybody else
ffs
Samuel-NotAFK
navap: I downloaded a Green Day album and it mostly got tagged just fine but then I downloaded 100 random tracks and they didn't get tagged very well at all.
catgroove: Knock on their door and ask to join in.
Tell them to either let you take part or to STFU.
navap
Well as I said, Picard is oriented towards tagging albums at a time. If you want to tag individual tags accurately, I recommend doing it manually as you will get the best result that way.
Samuel-NotAFK
catgroove: And it put random songs into the same, incorrect albm.
s/albm/album/
navap: I HATE tagging music manually.
It's a fucking chore.
That's why I fucking love Picard.

yay! Deluge just released 1.1.2... been waiting for that :) fix the damn "checking"... forever... bug :P
Samuel-NotAFK
brianfreud: I use Deluge.
I can't remember why I replaced Ktorrent with it.
brianfreud
I find it's a lot more stable than ktorrent, in ubuntu - but the "checking" bug drove me nuts
1.1.2's supposed to be the big fix for that
Samuel-NotAFK
Lots of things are unstable in Ubuntu.
Deluge is useless in Windows.
Deluge is horribly unstable,
brianfreud
redundancy alert :P
Windows is useless in Windows :D

For some reason I can't log into test using ff, but I can with Opera/Safari/Chrome.
The login form submits, and I'm returned to it with a blank form.
alastairp
javascript?
navap
Don't think I've messed around with any of those settings, I hardly use ff.
alastairp
(works fine here)
navap
Javascript is enabled.
What would cause that behaviour on my end though :s
I was in the middle of writing a ticket about login pages not redirecting to where they should when I realized the login doesn't work at all for me in ff
Just another reason why I don't like ff :/
And what the hell..I try over and over, and all of a sudden it starts working.
navap goes off and grumbles to himself

JS isn't doing anything re: login on test, so it shouldn't be affecting that
navap
brianfreud: Remember how I pointed out that some links cause the sidebar to lose it's state? That's happening again on test.
Should I file a bug, or is that something that's already fixed?
