Instrumentalists that are mentioned in the release title should have a "feat." before the instrument correct? "Complete Keyboard Works (harpsichord: Scott Ross)"
      • 2009-03-01 06013, 2009

      • nikki isn't sure

I stumbled across this 34 disc set and thought I'd add the ARs and REs, wasn't sure about the title though. There are a couple other sets just below that have the feat in the title. http://musicbrainz.org/show/artist/?artistid=3681…
      • 2009-03-01 06033, 2009

      • pbryan
        FEATURED instrumentalists should be mentioned.
      • 2009-03-01 06016, 2009

      • pbryan
As a rule of thumb, in classical, if a performer's name appears prominently on the cover, it's probably a (feat. ...) artist in the title.
      • 2009-03-01 06051, 2009

      • pbryan
AFAIK, "feat." still remains. I didn't see any conclusion (RFV) on dropping it.
      • 2009-03-01 06013, 2009

      • navap
I believe Scott Ross is performing th work of the late composer. And yes, his name is on the cover, in almost the same size in fact.
      • 2009-03-01 06006, 2009

      • pbryan
So I think (feat. harpsichord: Scott Ross) is in order.

but I hate spending money on them because I never know if they'll be loud enough
      • 2009-03-01 06007, 2009

      • warp
that also depends very much on whatever device you're connecting them with.

I really don't know what to do with those Orbis CDS, "The Blues Collection" It's a bigger mess than I thought

I cleaned some of Orbis' catalog up today, it was more the Classical Collection though. I stayed clear of the Blues one :p

It's really not that big of a problem actually. What makes it seem like a big problem is that one can't sort through the existing releases easily because of UI constaints.

Nope. Mine are UK releases, catalog numbers like BLU NC 005

It appears that some have catalog numbers like BLU GNC 005 - these were released in Germany the year after

.....and the volume numbers differ from the UK releases

      • Munger
What was volume 50 in the UK, was volume 52 in Germany

Yes I realize, I thought about it, and it's really not that big of a problem. And if you wait a couple of weeks, a beta version of the next server will come out - allowing you to sort the columns on the label page - that will make evrything a lot easier.
