I paste the first part for reosarevok which prolly have an answer: http://musicbrainz.org/artist/593a075e-b697-41c3-… I was wondering if this is correct or not... Are the dots corrrect or should we use dashes?

_5moufl: sorry, I've no idea

nikki
_5moufl: I guess you would first have to define correct. judging by the artist's website, both are correct
2012-04-01 09202, 2012
_5moufl
It should at least be consistent throughout the releases and the artist
2012-04-01 09209, 2012
nikki
well, not so much correct, if you agree both are... rather "correctest" or something
2012-04-01 09258, 2012
_5moufl
if they're both correct (as I thought) the releases should have the correct signs
2012-04-01 09216, 2012
_5moufl
for example shu-bi-dua 10 should have dots instead
2012-04-01 09217, 2012
_5moufl
am I right?

uhm didn't you get it in your network staff pm thing?
is there a way of changing a track artist in the release editor to a new artist that doesn't make me want to throw my computer out of the window in frustration?

nikki: We seemed to agree upon CD 1/2 for UK singles...though what about vinyl?
2012-04-01 09226, 2012
nikki
I have no idea, I have no experience with vinyl
2012-04-01 09259, 2012
jacobbrett
Perhaps standardisation of both CDs and vinyl to "Part 1/2"?
2012-04-01 09214, 2012

ew

jacobbrett
Well, it seems most logical? lol
2012-04-01 09238, 2012
nikki
CD1/2 makes sense to me because that's what most sites (e.g. amazon, wikipedia, discogs...) use and that's what a lot of them have somewhere on them too. vinyl should use whatever is used for vinyl

Well, I'm looking at two Panic at the Disco releases, and they say "Part X"
2012-04-01 09237, 2012
jacobbrett
As did two CD releases I saw last week.
2012-04-01 09248, 2012

didn't care that much about that release anyway ¬_¬
it's a pita when it adds another empty noe, and if i click "x" then it atu goes fro m"feat" to "&"
2012-04-01 09221, 2012
CatCat
it's ams much work as beforealmost

CatCat: hm, it shouldn't do that. have you reported a bug?
2012-04-01 09237, 2012
warp
though I expect it got confused because the " feat. " was set with a user script instead of manually.
2012-04-01 09208, 2012
nikki suddenly gets a whole bunch of 502s
2012-04-01 09206, 2012

btw nikki you'r paste a date script (wich is awesome) you can add also that desember -> December, oktober -> october, juli -> july, juni -> june, mai -> may, mars -> march, februar -> february and januar -> january
2012-04-01 09251, 2012
CatCat
ok, oktober works

but not desember :)

I would suggest adding a comment to the script on userscripts with the ones which don't actually work (most of those are already there)
2012-04-01 09207, 2012
nikki
otherwise it'll just get lost in irc history
2012-04-01 09215, 2012
nikki doesn't know when she'll feel like working on it again
