This cover art thing is pretty cool. But it sure takes forever for the images to appear.

It used to be fairly quick, but maybe they've disabled the thing where the images loaded before we had a thumbnail

(because it made huge files load every time)

reosarevok: Ah... Well Chromaprint can support that, but AcoustID currently doesn't have the capability to look them up in that fashion

Definitely, im still trying to get my head around how shazam exactly works, how it integrates the app into its music database, does it have a data base of actual songs or simply fingerprints, or both? once I figure this out I would be happy to help those who helped me ;-)

Yeah, since shazam's recognition of not-mainstream stuff sucks

probably just feeds from major record labels

I suspect that a factor in that is the relative inefficiency/complexity of indexing and looking up that much data for fuzzy matches.

'mix' needs to be lowercase, and so does 'metro' if it's not a proper noun
