I have a question about this

I want to do a bunch of "sampled by"

as it is one of the most sampled acapellas in the history of music

but... many of the samples are probably actually of "can you feel it"

and not "my house", because people couldn't get a copy of "my house" but "can you feel it" was pressed in large numbers..

as I presume it is unknowable without someone explicitly calling out which one they sampled

in the liner notes

and.. given that it's mostly underground dance music sampling it..

I guess we credit the original acapella?

it is clearly him in pretty much every single case it's sampled

but I don't know how credits work in this case..

in settings, you have to go down and click "advanced" or "more" i think

yea, "show advanced" and then under "languages"

I think that was where you disable all translations.

But disabling it for a language was elsewhere.

I guess when it offers you to translate, it also shows an option never to translate English or whatever language that is.

You should set the composers as track artists there probably

And then you could use "Edit relationships" to create all the works for this and specifically add the composer relationships

Sorry, I'm quite new to editing the musicbrainz database. How exactly would I do the steps you mentioned? (Especially the relationship part)

To change the track comnposer I could click on the recording and click edit to change the "artist", right?

No, for that you edit the release

Go to the tracklist tab

And change the artists there

(then on the recording tab, click the checkbox at the bottom about changing recordings too)

kovacsur: seems the set composer etc script is no longer able to set dates

(unless you fixed it already)
