There's “Begin date” and “End date” for relationship “wrote”. Is it really sensible?

Yes. Some works are written over a long period of time.

Hi flamingspinash, wave dash is correct mapping in Unicode,s CJK punctuation plane for JIS namidash, it is literal translation and it is in the right pane to be used vertically or horizontally...
      • 2013-06-01 15245, 2013

      • jesus2099
The bad mapping to full width tilde was made mistook because of a wrong example picture provided by first Unicode documentation s, showing a namidash with waves inverted, looking like a tilde :/
      • 2013-06-01 15231, 2013

      • jesus2099
The mistake was followed by Microsoft in its fonts and mapping but has been corrected in recent windows versions ( I can't swear as I only have old windows).

      • 2013-06-01 15221, 2013

      • CatQuest
the cron job should just be for until we fix it proper, naturally
      • 2013-06-01 15246, 2013

      • nikki
but with the cron job, there's no incentive to fix it
      • 2013-06-01 15240, 2013

      • nikki
and it's not even a serious problem anyway, it's just a bit confusing for the people who manage to find that tab

      • CatQuest
its fucking serious ifyou look at various artists

as for no incentive. well it's not as if it's been fixed up to now anyway :C
      • 2013-06-01 15237, 2013

      • CatQuest
well you obviusly don't edit those kind of cases at all nikki and that's fine, but for example VA has more duplicate identicals than not soon
      • 2013-06-01 15202, 2013

      • nikki
the important thing is that the link in the artist credit is correct, which is it and that the credited text is correct, which it is
      • 2013-06-01 15213, 2013

      • CatQuest
maybe its not "serious" on par with critical mailfunction and ise's surly, but it's stil la serious PITA to deal with

I just looked at various artists, I was expecting like 200 of them or something

      • CatQuest
oh sorry that 5 or 6 identical AC's isn't a pain for you then nikki :<
      • 2013-06-01 15237, 2013

      • nikki
        I don't see why it's a pain. they're all sorted together
      • 2013-06-01 15244, 2013

interesting, when i remove the first bdi tags (recording name), it's showing okay. if i remove the second tags (first artist) or third tags (second artist), it's not showing the artists.

what is exactly doing the <bdi> tag here?

bdi isolates things from the surrounding context for the purpose of the bidi algorithm, so that if a title happens to contain right to left characters, the right-to-left-ness doesn't leak out
