I think it's the word "intent" that bothers me. As if anything that wasn't an accident is the artist's intent.

So just hearing that phrase puts me in an argumentative mood.

What is a control code when referring to a track on a record?

Does it uniquely identify a recording?

and does it belong anywhere in discogs?

And does something like C2409=2 mean it was the second take?

johtso, that would make sense (if it's the same pressing, it must be the same recording). I'm not sure that the universe actually makes that much sense, but it's a nice thought :-)
