A certain release group got a bluray release recently. Usually it goes by 3CDs, but this one´s just one bluray
is there any way I can use the information from the original release, and merge them all into one single media?
(not by hand)
...it´s a lot of tracks lol

I think you can do that via copy and paste, maybe?

I GUESS I could do that [after a considerable amount of time], but would I be able to hit ¨Preserve previous recording data¨ and avoid creating duplicates?
doing this by hand is not an option
I think I might be fortunate because artist data is simple, but if it weren´t it would be even more out of the question

In the "add medium" popup there is a tab for re-using existing media, you'll probably still need to tweak it manually on the next tab to avoid duplicating recordings

Hi reosarevok, I see you are coding more and more in MBS. I never tried to submit empty edit notes but it seems there is small glitch, maybe in the relationship editor, that submits empty edit notes (containing one new line or something like that).
Those edits are good, no problem. Them don't having edit notes is not the subject of my remark. my remark is just that some code should trim all spaces and new lines and then if the result is nothing, it shouldn't generate some blank edit notes:
I will try to submit blank edit note to see if it's something likely to happen or not.
MBS-4776: Require confirmation when using Various Artists as a track artist

also if the track is [unknown] or [untitled] wouldn't it be better to set the artist as [unknown] to? even if there are several artists. it's better imho
the confirmational warning thing also should/link to some page that explaisn what things to use for tacks.. like if it's a remixer mashing up all the continuous tracks of the release in a mega mix, it's better to use them as artist for example
reosarevok: basically: use any and all appropriate artist before using VA as trak/recording artist. this includes remixers, compilers and recorders and technicians (though artists and composers before that) if the artist isn't listed, use [unknown]"
also a link to some place to seek help (contact link, community etc. incase people don't understand/newbies. etc)

I mean, I'm not sure everyone agrees to use an engineer or something above VA
ZaphodBeeblebrox
hmmm
it's atleast better unti la better artist cna be found no?
anyway you'd agree (unknown) before VA though. i guess, sin that's technically correct (artist is infact, unknown :D)
