This treats recordings named "Halcyon" and "Halcyon + On + On" as belonging to the same work
Example 2: The Song "Style" has three remixes by them: "Old Style", "New Style", and "Mock Tudor"
Each song is treated as a separate work (except New Style, which doesn't have a work of it's own yet), with "Old Style" and "Mock Tudor" being listed as being "based on" the work "Style" https://musicbrainz.org/work/c50bc626-80e1-34d7...
So? Which method is correct?
I plan on fixing all of their works to the proper method, but I need to know which one is the proper one first.

in general, remixes of modern pop-style music are considered the same work, but if there are any extra credits on the remix (additional composition, lyrics, etc.) then it has to be a new work instead.

So, since Orbital aren't classical composers, the method I called "Example 1" is correct, right?
Assuming the credits are the same
I have another question. It appears that it was a common phenomenon for British electronic bands such as Orbital to release singles in two parts.
Also, the original release of the song "Halcyon", mentioned earlier, was on the "Radiccio" EP. In Europe, it was released in two parts as "Radiccio 1" and "Radiccio 2". In Japan, they were combined and released as "Radiccio". In America, they were combined but instead called "Halcyon"
In this case, Discogs lumps all the "Radiccio"s together, but has "Halcyon" as a different release group

reosarevok: why do we cannot add naxosmusiclibrary to the other databases? (:
would be useful for those with access ;)
reosarevok
Isn't it a streaming page more than a database?
I don't think there's a reason not to link it as one
SothoTalKer
well, but it's not "stream for free"
they offer covers and booklets, too.
reosarevok: there's "streaming page" in the list :p
Hmm. i'm not sure, what NML actually is. They advertise themselves as "Invaluable resource for universities, music schools, public libraries, schools, music professionals and collectors"
