Hey everyone. I'm trying to add a release (https://www.discogs.com/Various-Leopoldina-Apre...) but I'm having doubts regarding one thing: the second disc was recorded at local schools, which are the artists in the back of the case. Should I add each school as an artist on Musicbrainz (like on Discogs)?

milkii: on windows the limit for the entire path, including drive name, is 259 characters
if you are on other platforms and have win compatibility enabled this also applies
but relative to the mount point in this case

milkii: is win compatibility enabled in options or not?

aah, yes, misread before, so this is a full path length limit. i guess i'll just turn off and deal with the problem that will arise when I'm transferring to a fat32 drive when that happens. thanks :)

for cpmpleteness: otherwise if you are neither on windows nor have windows compatibility enabled there is no overall path name limit, but Picard will query the file system for the maximum length of an individal directory or file name
