Why not have your own paste handler?
      • 2012-08-16 22933, 2012

      • hawke_1
So you copy as normal and then paste into the userscript’s stuff
      • 2012-08-16 22935, 2012

      • brianfreud
I also don't quite see how the UI would work for that - either you catch *every* "copy" on any page, which is a big security issue, or you have to turn on the selection mode, in which case you might as well just left click instead of right click -> "copy image"
      • 2012-08-16 22915, 2012

      • brianfreud
What I could see is eventually adding a context menu option "send image to CAA editor".
      • 2012-08-16 22953, 2012

      • hawke_1
I was thinking of it more as having those images (or the CAA editor box on the right) being pasteable
      • 2012-08-16 22959, 2012

      • brianfreud
That'll have to wait until that API's better supported though; atm, it's FF only.
      • 2012-08-16 22914, 2012

      • hawke_1
        Which one?
      • 2012-08-16 22915, 2012

      • brianfreud
Same issue. Div's aren't inherently pasteable; you'd need to add a context menu option of some sort "paste image from clipboard". (It's actually "paste image url from clipboard"; if you just were dumping some pixels from Photoshop, the browser wouldn't have a clue what to do with it)

when Chrome adds support, it sounds like it'd be doable that way
      • 2012-08-16 22929, 2012

      • brianfreud
atm, chrome only supports it for extensions, not userscripts/general js
      • 2012-08-16 22945, 2012

      • hawke_1
        Hmm

        Hmm

        Is "Cartridge" a game cartridge?
      • 2012-08-16 22901, 2012

      • reosarevok
        (in format)
      • 2012-08-16 22931, 2012

      • hawke_1
        Yes.

        8-track cartridge
      • 2012-08-16 22942, 2012

      • hawke_1
        or 4-track
      • 2012-08-16 22945, 2012

      • reosarevok
        So, what's a game cartridge'
      • 2012-08-16 22949, 2012

      • hawke_1
        Dunno.

      • reosarevok
        Just digital?
      • 2012-08-16 22952, 2012

      • culinko
grr, can't activate the "submit" button for fingerprints in picard :S
      • 2012-08-16 22956, 2012

      • hawke_1
        Probably just digital
      • 2012-08-16 22928, 2012

      • hawke_1
culinko: It won’t submit until there’s something to submit, i.e. if your track doesn’t have an acoustID that’s already linked to the recording
      • 2012-08-16 22934, 2012

      • hawke_1
Also you need to enable acoustID if you haven’t
      • 2012-08-16 22953, 2012

      • culinko
i have that stuff enabled, i submitted some of them in the past

        K
      • 2012-08-16 22940, 2012

      • brianfreud
hawke_1, actually, the paste bit wouldn't even be needed; I'd just have (have to, actually) that copy context menu option do it the same way the script does it now.
      • 2012-08-16 22906, 2012

      • brianfreud
reosarevok, digital or other, I think
      • 2012-08-16 22936, 2012

      • hawke_1
culinko: Does your file show an acoustID value in the “Original Value” section?
      • 2012-08-16 22910, 2012

      • reosarevok
        heh
      • 2012-08-16 22922, 2012

      • culinko
        hmm nope
      • 2012-08-16 22928, 2012

      • reosarevok
The same label also released a music + art .swf
      • 2012-08-16 22932, 2012

      • reosarevok
        wonder how that'd work
      • 2012-08-16 22937, 2012

      • brianfreud
        badly?
      • 2012-08-16 22956, 2012

      • hawke_1
culinko: And you moved it to a track? Then it should be submittable :-/
      • 2012-08-16 22910, 2012

      • brianfreud
reosarevok, I wonder what swiffy would make of it
      • 2012-08-16 22918, 2012

      • hawke_1
culinko: Oh — try moving it to the unmatched files tab and running 'scan' on it
      • 2012-08-16 22926, 2012

      • culinko
        tried :S
      • 2012-08-16 22939, 2012

      • culinko
maybe it's because i have unset some fields, dunno
      • 2012-08-16 22959, 2012

      • hawke_1
bitmap or luks would probably be the ones to answer that then, I guess
      • 2012-08-16 22957, 2012

      • reosarevok
culinko: in the worst case you can just run the standalone fingerprinter on them
      • 2012-08-16 22928, 2012

      • culinko
i know, but i just submitted some files in the past but i have no idea what how did i activate the submit button
      • 2012-08-16 22945, 2012

      • hawke_1
culinko: Can you double-check your options→fingerprinting tab?
      • 2012-08-16 22954, 2012

      • hawke_1
make sure you have a path to fpcalc and an API key?
      • 2012-08-16 22915, 2012

      • culinko
checked, use acoustid, my api key

      • culinko
hah now i know the trick

      • 2012-08-16 22953, 2012

removed one unset entry from the script. i thought i don't need to restart picard
      • 2012-08-16 22901, 2012

      • hawke_1
        what entry was it?
      • 2012-08-16 22922, 2012

      • culinko
        $unset(musicbrainz_trackid) :P
      • 2012-08-16 22930, 2012

      • hawke_1

      • 2012-08-16 22958, 2012

Maybe file a bug on it though, you should be able to submit even if you don’t want to save that to your files

      • 2012-08-16 22901, 2012
