How does the "unlink an acoustid" edit work? does that go through MB's edit queue?
kepstin-laptop
CallerNo6: no; all acoustid stuff is handled on the acoustid server.

hm. So there's no checks'n'balances? If I screw up, I screw up?

Hi everyone, quick question: There's two guys Andy Hobbs and Daniel Blishen that go under aliases Hobzee and Zyon Base respectively. They recorded a few singles as Hobzee & Zyon Base, but their most recent (and the most popular) work is released under Silent Dust name.
Obviously, there's a mess around here and I wanted to clean it all up a little.
So far there's 5 artists in mb database (2x real names, 2x aliases, 1x alias&alias collaboration)
Silent Dust yet to be added :P
Should I merge real names into aliases? Discogs say they only use their real names in credits somewhere, not labelling any particular releases.
(and later add real name info into alias disambiguation field)?

make sure someone agrees with me, but, what I'd do is: merge real names into the performance names, ultimately correcting the alias that'll be added to the performance-name artists to be marked as a real name
and 2.) use the "edit artist credit" thing to change the two-performance-names-separated-by-& name into an artist credit crediting the two performance names
Silent Dust sounds like a separate artist, which you should link the two people to with the 'member of' relationship
ehrgeiz has no idea about labels and how their local subsidiaries are handled

jesus2099, do you need to store a lot of data in localstorage?

_5moufl: +1 for merging these labels
jesus2099
why ?
kovacsur: what do you means ?

if you don't, you could switch to cookies, they persist across http/https by default
jesus2099
the problem of cookies is that there is limited amount of cookies per website so I don’t want to limit others userjs nor MB code itself. Thus I now use localStorage… just that I didn’t know there was a https split
