It also checks Gmail and the like with no problems and allows me to get on IRC on wifi when I'm in a club

I mainly use it for anki and for looking up words in online dictionaries in the middle of class :P but also for looking stuff up online in general when I'm not at the computer, sms, reading email, notes, playing games when bored...

oh, and as an alarm

I'm still somehow happy with my "dumbphone", but I wanted to try having something I can regularly check mail or web on without carrying my laptop

luks: for that, I'd recommend just getting the cheapest 2nd hand one you can get that still works

so I have it set for both 10 and 11am, then if I fall asleep after the first one, another one will still go off

I also use it for irc occasionally when I'm not at the computer, for looking at maps when I'm out, for checking the bus/train times when I'm out and sometimes reading pdfs when I'm bored and travelling (not really the best way to read pdfs though, depends how bored I am :P). and since I don't have any other camera, it occasionally gets used to take pictures of random things that I want to show other people

basically everything you can think of except what phones are actually designed for :P

it depends what's in the pdf really. quite a lot don't scale properly so are impossible to read without scrolling horizontally, but sometimes there's something I can read as easily as a page on the web

I heard Piccard 15 final is supposed to be out today....any truth to that rumour
