wish I knew enough JS to make that list into something that could be auto-accessed from the add release/edit all page
0:49 AM
"Insert CSG" "composer dropdown" (select Mozart), chose catalog (choose K1 or K6), type the K6 cat #, have the field autopopulate :P

CatCat dislikes that and likes following the record's cover

hmmm should live audience recordings of bands that have guests appearing in some songs use an AR or (feat.)?
1:05 AM
brianfreud likes ARs for thoser
1:12 AM
agreed
1:13 AM
i really feel nothing but a track title should appear in the track title field.
1:14 AM
brianfreud
that's my sense too
1:15 AM
FauxFaux kills my sound-card. :'(
1:16 AM
I think the same about release titles... It seems that sentiment is common, even for classical, but I think we need some search enhancement (2-field searching) before people will be comfortable removing it from classical titles (based on recent edit discussions from mine and cooperaa's attempts)

there is an MB button by default in Easy CDDA Extractor?
3:32 AM
brianfreud
yes, in the version released yesterday
3:32 AM
BrianG
"Version 11.0.3 adds support for MusicBrainz and includes bug fixes."
3:32 AM
neat
3:33 AM
brianfreud
it still uses freedb by default though :(
3:33 AM
BrianG
i haven't used that app in ages
3:33 AM
can you set it to use MB by default?
3:33 AM
brianfreud
lol, I had to reinstall it just to play with it. - and no, not that I can see
3:34 AM
ruaok
brianfreud: rad!
3:34 AM

Nice to see toc submissions now able to come from multiple places though :)
3:34 AM

did you add one from the app?

5:06 AM
thedude-
so its either artist or track? no both?
5:07 AM
brianfreud
well, you can specify tracks from a release from an artist
5:07 AM
thedude-
hum
5:07 AM
its that i want to find the release by specifying artist + track
5:07 AM
album i mean
5:08 AM
brianfreud
well, except that could be any number of releases
5:08 AM
Take Pearl Jam or Nirvana - you could look for "Nirvana + Smells Like Teen Spirit" or "Pearl Jam + Elderly Woman..." and get 500 releases that match
5:09 AM
thedude-
what? 500?
5:10 AM

jesus christ
5:11 AM
how am i going to pull this off
5:13 AM
the form search is pretty inaccurate
5:13 AM
i put artist U2 and song sunday bloody sunday and i get some irrelevant artists ranking higher then U2 it self
5:15 AM
brianfreud
unless you're doing an AND search with advanced search checked on, the form is doing only a single field search
5:15 AM
thedude-
yagh, the query text made it better
5:15 AM
i can use this AND search on the web form?
5:16 AM
brianfreud
yes. Click on "other searches", then click the advanced search checkbox
5:16 AM
thedude-
sorry, i mean the XML
5:17 AM
brianfreud
XML is more intended to pull data you know, or to search using correct syntax. Not sure if/how it supports adv searching
5:17 AM
thedude-
crap
5:18 AM
well i think i can use ?artist=X&title=Y ?
5:18 AM
brianfreud
no clue :P
5:19 AM
you'd have to read through the xml docs
5:19 AM
thedude-
they're pretty vague
5:19 AM
brianfreud
what page are you looking at?
