I can boot an old one, not that I have a clue what you want it for.
Prodoc

FauxFaux

FauxFaux
Anyway, I'm running the pre-rolled VM, which is probably far too easy for you. ;)

I'm trying to follow the Picard usage guide, but it doesn't really work very well
More specificly I'm trying to add a PUID to a musicbrainz album in order to get Picard to recognize it
But absolutely nothing at all happens when I drag and drop my album cluster on the album name
um, wait a minute...
ok, now I see, I just don't see the "tagger" icon.

good morning
anyone home?
guess not.
ok, well, I was just wanting to discuss the issue of Future Release dates
actually, it's probably not worth spouting it here, now, with no-one around. I'll try again later.
bye

when picard submits puid's, why doesn't it also submit track times for releases that have ?:?? times
Rondom has quit
luks
nope
FauxFaux wonders if the cddbid->track times thing is in yet. :)
Jugdish
luks: but why doesn't it?
luks
eek, cddb?
Jugdish: just not implemented at the moment
Jugdish
ah
luks
but there is a RFE about that, and I'd like to do it
Jugdish
cool
luks
currently I'd have to use the website and do a fake login/POST
so first it needs to be added to the web service
FauxFaux
luks: *Disc ID (the bA2cB8TOC0WsWG0UcMeuXUc_OJM- things). :)
luks
yes, I think there is a daily script that sets track times from disc ids
FauxFaux
Whoot.
FauxFaux would like to see a report of releases where the track-times don't match the disc-ids, might have to do one tonight.
Jugdish
ummm
why does picard error on puid-calc for a track that is currently playing?
luks
on windows or linux?
Jugdish
windows
luks
hm, I guess directx requires an exclusive access then
Jugdish
picard is using directx or my player is?
luks
picard is using it
Jugdish
it using directx to calc puid's?
luks
to decode the file
Jugdish
oh
could it just use a built-in decode routine instead?
luks
yes, but that's a lot of work to create decoders for all formats
Jugdish
oh yeah good point :P
luks
this way I can just tell people to install some DX filter, and picard will have support for that format
Jugdish
gotcha
what does it do on linux?
luks
it uses FFmpeg
Jugdish
nice
luks
there would be no technical problem to use it on windows
but it's big, and I don't want to include it in the package
Jugdish
i see
even if it's a custom-compiled ffmpeg with all vid functions stripped?
luks
I haven't tried to compile it on windows yet
Jugdish
i would imagine it's a bitch ;)
luks
besides, people can always install ffdshow :D
Jugdish
another question regarding puid's in picard: i used picard to tag a bunch of releases, but then removed them from the gui before submitting the puid's to mb. now i bring the tracks back into picard and they match up immediately (since they already have mbid's) but the "submit puid" button is grayed out
how do i submit the puid's now?
luks
the only way is to put them back to 'Unmatched files' and create the puids again
Jugdish
eek
luks
or just don't submit them :)
Jugdish
heh, i'm leaning more in that direction ;)
but it would be nice if there were a way to do a force puid-calc on tracks without having to make them unmatched again

Hi here, quick question: I am wondering where the information about the ReleaseStatus is in the DB?
luks
fgiasson: album.attributes
fgiasson
luks: thanks you, but is there an explanation for that columns? {1} {0, 10, 100} etc...
