I just want to have an example command line app to submit tags.

well, my future musicbrainz tagger will be in python.

so i have the stuff already to scan a dir for files and extract mbids.

the other alternative would be php, and I really don't want to continue on that road

Is there any kind of support for releases with varying cover-art? For instance, http://musicbrainz.org/show/release/?releaseid=... has two release-events, as shown on amazon http://tinyurl.com/32mlk6, with different art (and asins), but the same musics.

so, last night I installed picard-qt on my mac and in a VM under feisty.

ran the two side by side to see what happens with the drag and drop.

from what I can see, the mac version simply does not receive the dropMimeData call.

the data stuffed into the mime data object appears to be exactly the same as on the linux version.

the start drag is printed at the beginning of startDrag

where the u'' comes from I HAVE NO IDEA.

but print is in direct response to the drop.

neither version does the right thing. no message appears and the tree item is created as a child.
