what's dj mixed for?

i guess mix compilations

or,well, just DJ mixes

as opposed to normal remixes

but it could be something else entirely hmm

it's for releases where the tracks are mixed into a coherent dj set by someone

this "release" is a mess then...

it wasn't even released like this, they're just standalone tracks for the most part...

i guess it could be for tracks, too, if a bunch of songs were mixed into one track, and there was more than one of them on a release

i think i've seen some releases like that

and it was only added like it is because someone "acquired" it like that... (read: someone saved all the tracks and made a torrent, iirc)

and the artist is the website name (not even spelt correctly...)

I'm tempted to make them non-album tracks instead

"The Lion Sleeps Tonight" I can see that being a highly downloaded song too... back in 2000 I downloaded it too (I have a legal copy now). I think it was titled "A whim away" when I first got it, which is criminally wrong.

the first songs I heard which I liked were buzzstyle by yaida hitomi and kimi no hitomi ni koi shiteru by fukada kyoko

so i when there and tagged my files

I found last.fm through a forum, then last.fm wasn't working and the error message said to go tag files at mb, I wasn't using windows but I found the misencoded tracks report and I was like "bwahahahaha!"

then for soem explicitly weird reason (i love to categorise)... i came back

I liked the audioscrobbler design

it was so simple and tidy

listen-to was the same idea. you scrobble stuff

now it's all omgomg with loads of javascript >_<
