what's so great about moleskin thingies compared to any other notebook?

i guess part of it is just like why everyone buys iPods...

The biggest one is the whole being able to lie it flat when open

but they are meant to be very high quality (paper and cover)

No annoying ridge when writing on the right page

The paper is nice too

Open a book towards the front or back, and lie it flat so both the cover and back are touching the table

hm. can't say I've ever noticed when writing on the left side

I'm right handed heh, but the trouble side would alternate depending on which hand you use

The elastic band and bookmark is nice too, not often found in notebooks heh

I guess the main thing that would stop me from getting one though is that I like to be able to rip pages out

IF you need sheets to hand to others, keep a small wad of post its in the cover

I personally don't tear out pages

warp: I finally got mutt to work with gmail

it reminds me of when I was at college... some people would keep all their notes in a lever arch file or three and bring them all with them every bloody day and I thought they were insane

only about 4 months after I saw you using mutt at the summit :P

and then I would just bring my a4 spiral-bound notebook and write in that, and every couple of weeks, tear out the older notes to make it lighter

of course, the people with a load of lever arch files probably thought I was insane for not keeping each subject in a separate folder at all times :P

rpedro: niklas' work on collections is intended for you to manage collections of your favourite artists, which includes sending you mail whenever a new release is added to one of those artists.

rpedro: it's still in development, and i'm not sure what the roadmap will be... ruaok is supposed to do a blog post about that today though.
