in that case, shouldn't it rather be "digital data"?

as the medium would be your local hard disk?

I think "Digital Media" is an established format, I don't really think it needs to be changed as most people understand the difference between a "CD" release format and a "Digital" one.

If you have a USB stick album, and your choices are "CD" or "Digital Media", I think it's pretty obvious :)

from what I understand, we only use Digital Media for music with no physical medium
