yes votes need to be higher than no, if they are the same it will fail

it does now, but it might not have had when those were entered

it now does - if ($y >= 1900 and $y<= 2100)

so it wouldn't have caught the 1900 ones, but it would have stopped the earlier ones

interesting, it's still possible to put releases up to 2100? i wonder why

the only alternative is to make it dynamic in relation to current date

my javascript knowledge is a little rusty

I'd rather do it on the server. I've known peoples clocks to be a long way out on their machines

even if that's true, you could hide it on the page :) i just don't think it would be necessary to go to server for that, but i haven't been making web apps for that long either

the javascript currently does a little checking to validate they are filling in the correct field, you can't enter a month without a year. But checking whether it is a valid date and within range is done server side

it's not just an old tagger problem. There are lots of portable players that can't handle unicode in file names

well, yes, but there are thousands of other albums with non-ascii tracks in the database

we can't keep dupes of all of them

agreed, but this is one of the more common albums that more people are likely to have.

Unicode support in MB is great. Unfortunately the rest of the world hasn't caught up yet
