anyone encouter issues w/ mb not tagging a file? I've run into an issue at least 1 out of 3 albums I tag, where all but 2 or 3 of the files get tagged.
      • 2003-09-01 24441, 2003

      • synack
to get the missed files to be tagged, I enter misc data in the album field and have mb overwrite the bogus tag i entered
      • 2003-09-01 24407, 2003

      • dvtoo
        nod, known probably I think

        lets hope
      • 2003-09-01 24455, 2003

      • synack
whats odd is, even blanking out a files tag doesnt mean mb will tag it, it takes some type of entry into one of the fields
      • 2003-09-01 24423, 2003

      • synack
and its chronic to a particular mp3, trying to have mb tag it 3, or 4 times does no good
      • 2003-09-01 24454, 2003

      • dvtoo
next version of the client uses a totally new taging library, so hopefully it'll just go away
      • 2003-09-01 24452, 2003

      • synack
        does 10.0test3 use that lib?
      • 2003-09-01 24455, 2003

      • dvtoo
        yes
      • 2003-09-01 24403, 2003

      • dvtoo
it seems to have, uh, a few bugs though =)
      • 2003-09-01 24402, 2003

      • synack
yeah, and i think that tag skipping one still exists
      • 2003-09-01 24426, 2003

      • synack
i tried i last night, and i'm 85% certain i still had the issue. I had to stop using it when it didnt rename my files :)
      • 2003-09-01 24403, 2003

      • dvtoo
yeah, I've had no luck tracking that one down. tagger is such a total pain in the ass to debug
      • 2003-09-01 24410, 2003

      • synack
but i can't really complain. the program is freaking great

      • synack
        how's come?
      • 2003-09-01 24439, 2003

        (hard to debug, that is)
      • 2003-09-01 24400, 2003

      • dvtoo
because tagger is written in borland c++ builder 5, and everything else is compiled in msvc, and they don't seem to understand each other's debug info
      • 2003-09-01 24450, 2003

      • 2003-09-01 24458, 2003

      • dvtoo
oh, huh, maybe that's why ruoak can't reproduce it

      • synack
Heh, when I was just getting started w/ this project to id3 tag all my mp3s, and trying out .10.0test3, I saw the alternate dir structure for "VA" titles and though, interesting. Now that i've done a few VA's w/ .90, i want that feature :(
