Question: would "temporary hold date" be an appropriate Event status in MB?

In the book "KISS Alive Forever," temporary hold dates are described as gigs that were booked but never advertised and tickets never went on sale

so basically, concerts that never got out of the planning stages

they're not well-tracked, so it might not be worth it to have a designation for them

If an artist records one version of an album in one language and then issues a different version in a different language, do those different versions need separate release groups?

In the past I've been told to split them off (primarily in the case of vocal movie soundtracks)

The release I'm referring to is not a soundtrack, though

Personally I would count any re-recording as a distinct release group but that's just a general thought, specifics might vary.

I mean, to me the whole point of release groups is "would someone purchasing this album feel a need to own all of them" basically...dunno if that's true there.

Do we have a "translated version of" AR for Releases or Release Groups?

I thought so, isn't it used for pseudo-releases?

it doesn't mention anything about the actual audio content being translated

That is done with Kraftwerk...almost all their albums are in multiple languages

So please don't use that one there :)

that's not kraftwerk...lyrics of said releases were language specific also
