        SothoTalKer, nice work
      • SothoTalKer
well, i have not checked every release, i have not checked all the titles for missing subtitles and i have not checked the individual recordings for any spelling errors or wrongly credited artists.
      • just adding metadata where it was missing and a few obvious fixes :x
      • MajorLurker
And only two releases that say GB
      • SothoTalKer
well ayia napa is a german label. i doubt those 2 were released in GB ;)
      • but then you can never be sure ;p
      • MajorLurker is never sure about release areas...
      • MajorLurker
Given that I am in Aus, and I have the disc .... it must have been "released" here at some point unless somebody imported it
      • but hey just go with best guess off the cover
      • SothoTalKer
i usually go with the label :)
      • just because some market sells discs, does not mean the label has released those here :D
      • MajorLurker
the thing is somebody with better knowledge can always change it
      • SothoTalKer
especially resellers that buy bulks of cheap stuff like "Weltbild"
      • D4RK-PH0ENiX joined the channel
      • MajorLurker
there is that problem... I just look at disc/cover if it says "Made in Australia" or "Distributed in Australia by..." then it gets Australia
      • SothoTalKer
        hehe
      • Jormangeud joined the channel
      • i usually look in our national library
      • if it was released in germany, the makers have to provide 2 copies for archival purposes

      • MajorLurker
So you're from Germany right? I think I asked before but could not remember
      • SothoTalKer
        yup
      • MajorLurker
        guten morgen then
      • SothoTalKer
        guten morgen (:
      • MajorLurker
        Wie geht es dir?
      • SothoTalKer
      • MajorLurker
        And that
      • is about the extent of my form 4 AGerman
      • SothoTalKer
mir geht es gut, danke :-)
      • MajorLurker
or maybe that should have been... Wie geht es Ihnen?
      • SothoTalKer
        well, formal or informal? :3
      • MajorLurker
        formal is Ihnen right?
      • SothoTalKer
        yup
      • MajorLurker
        not bad.... 45 years ago

      • In Internet chats and forums, Germans rarely use Sie, although there are exceptions.

      • I think we learned "es geht mir gut"
      • SothoTalKer
        sounds good (:
      • MajorLurker

      • MajorLurker
So the translation is along the lines of "I am going well" ?
      • SothoTalKer
if i want to be really informal i just say "mir geht's gut"
      • i'm good :D
      • or i'm fine.
      • MajorLurker
        ya
      • SothoTalKer
        ^-^
      • MajorLurker

      • SothoTalKer

      • SothoTalKer
        hehehe
      • MajorLurker
ha... with a surname like mine I get the Colonel a bit, not as much as my dad who was known as the Colonel
      • SothoTalKer
i did watch the whole series on youtube :o
      • in english of course, as the german version was, well..., badly synchronized :D
      • MajorLurker
I think it would lose a lot in German, have watched it many times.... never gets stale
      • SothoTalKer
well, they flattened the story for the german version
      • MajorLurker
I guess I could imagine that happening
      • SothoTalKer
German film distributor KirchGruppe acquired broadcasting rights to the show but initially did not air it out of fear that it would offend viewers. In 1992, episodes were shown on German television for the first time, but the program failed to connect with viewers due to issues with lip syncing.[63] However, after the dialogue was rewritten to make the characters look even more foolish
      • (which ensured that the viewers understood the characters were caricatures), the show became successful. An unseen original character was additionally introduced in "Kalinke", Klink's cleaning lady and perennial mistress; Klink described her as performing most of her cleaning duties in the nude.[63]

for acousticbrainz to work, all files already need to have an MBID
      • yvanzo
chhavi_: MBID is currently available from the tab Details, I never copied that, I just copied URL instead, and it works for every search box. Maybe just rephrasing the search box hints would do.
      • chhavi_: Discography is currently segmented using combinations of release groups primary and secondary types. For a complete list, see: https://beta.musicbrainz.org/doc/Release_Group/...
      • reosarevok
yvanzo: well, as she said, it's a bit more annoying to copy the URL (and bits of them) on mobile. But at the same time, mobile sucks currently in MB anyway. chhavi_: are you planning to improve that with this? I forget
      • chhavi_
        I was hoping we will.
      • Like doesn't it make sense to start having mobile friendly elements already?
      • reosarevok
        Sure
      • We need to have the MBID *somewhere* in any case, not fully sure what's your plan for the stuff currently in the Details tab
