So I'm trying to add a release from a Patreon post. Is "purchase for download" the correct relationship to use for a post that you need to be a patron to see?
That seems like the closest of the existing relationships, but it's not quite accurate either. Maybe I should file a ticket for a "download with a paid subscription" relationship or something?

hmm, and "crowdfunding page" isn't quite right either, that's for something like kickstarter where you have a fix-length funding drive for production/release
purchase for download is probably the least bad of the options we have right now, but it does seem like we should have a better option

Hi, in 1987 there was a tv show hosted by "Miguel Ríos" (a famous singer in Spain) that had other artists as guests. Miguel Ríos recorded two albums with songs from the show and one of those two albums has "Miguel Ríos con La banda del año" (with the band of the year) as "album artist". That's the "band" of the show, and afaik, never played by itself nor recorded anything else. When creating the musicbrainz artist for the
I wouldn't call a show band an orchestra, unless it's actually orchestra-like
(many shows have bands which are more like a jazz band of sorts, I think?)
I'm too young to have ever seen that program though, so not sure how this one is :D

dseomn: Maybe I should file a ticket for a "download with a paid subscription" relationship or something?
👍 from me, that sounds like a great idea
antlarr: if this was a singular one of type thing I'd use artist credits on Miguel Ríos and then relationsip the memebers to the release/recordings
but that's me
i guess it's fine if it's added as a "Miguel Ríos's band" and linked with him in an artist credit as "and band"

reosarevok: it's definitely not an orchestra, and I don't think it's Miguel Rios's but more like RTVE's band
CatQuest: There's also one track in that album that is credited to "Las chicas del año" which seems to refer to the chorus from the same band, so in that case I credited it like this: https://musicbrainz.org/recording/6de844a2-2cde...
(I checked that Miguel Rios doesn't sing in that track)
So I used "La banda del año" but credited as "Las chicas del año", which I think is exactly what's happening there
I wonder if it would make more sense to unify the subscription and download relationships into a single one each, with paid/subscription/free/etc as attributes

I have a recording and its related work, and then I have another recording which is an acoustic version of the first one. Should I relate it to the same work? or should I create a new work?
(both recordings and work by the same artist)
I think apart from "cover", "live", "instrumental" ... there should be an "acoustic" attribute
