The track length of track 15 is 3:29 according to the Disc ID information (and also according to discogs and a local copy of the release I have here), but it's fixed as 5:18 and can't be changed
why is that? I thought that when a track length can't be changed it's because that information came from the DiscID information
ah, there's a set tracklist durations link in the disc id page... I see now, sorry for the noise :)

hi2all. Just noticed interesting thing - i have several albums where acousid tag is completely missing for all tracks in the albums, but they still could identified (matched) by picard. "Submit AcoustIDs" is also disabled for them. Is it ok or i am missing something?
outsidecontext
Darkloke: hi. did you use Scan or Lookup?
Darkloke: if you used Scan AND it found some matches then there should be an AcoustID tag afterwards
if you just used Lookup not acoustids are involved, it is purely using metadata
Darkloke
Since i created this albums, i suppose after creation i just clicked green "picard" button in browser and it transfered album in the picard. So now it autoidentifies them musicbrainz tags. I enabled option "ignore MBIDs when loading new files" and now picard gives me option to update files and thus adding acoustIDs tags. Dunno why happened so though.
SothoTalKer_
AcoustID are an optional feature to match files
you can match all perfectly without even generating the data
to add AcoustID data, you can generate it after matching, if you use a recent version of Picard
that is the new "generate fingerprints" option
Darkloke: i hope it makes sense :)
Darkloke
Yes, i know, thx. Just was a bit surprised to see albums in collection w/o acoustIDs. :)
SothoTalKer_
if no one submitted before, it is not uncommon
especially when one does not have the physical files to submit the data
Darkloke
Well, in most cases when i create an album, i submit data. Though may be sometimes i defacto forgot to do this and simply match through browser.
SothoTalKer_
you can update all files via picard easily
just load your tagged albums, press generate and then submit XD

BTw - is there any sense now to submit data to acousticbrainz to receive then bmp, mood and other stats? I did it in the past, but sure if it still make sense.

i don't know if there is any practical reason, i just do it for completeness sake :)
sweta05 has left the channel
but submitting the data will help if that data gets actually used in the future
Darkloke
But i suppose genre tag its also based on that stats, no?

SothoTalKer_
probably not, but i'm not familiar with genres, reosarevok can answer (:

That's just tags, entered by humans
Darkloke
So there is no some algorhytm for genre automatic genre idenification in mb? I thought it was some.
Darkloke (if you read logs) and SothoTalKer_, there is a tool coming Soon™ using AcousticBrainz data to identify Recordings ripe for merging (and maybe Recordings that were possibly wrongly merged). Submitting AB analyses would help this tool. :)
