Any idea why there are suddenly duped "S Club 7" artist?

Both http://musicbrainz.org/artist/c4901095-0bc2-4ce... and http://musicbrainz.org/artist/bd5cf3e9-cb6c-41f... are identical.

Look in the history to get an idea.

both histories look identical to me

But the old MBID still points to the merged entry.

Well, that's probably XMBCs fault if it doesn't handle this correctly.

Or whoever wrote the scraper

Well, the old ones still work. So it's not a problem when you look things up.

But if you try to use them as a static identifier, yeah.

After an artist/release/etc. merge, it becomes a many-to-one thing.

A1, A2, A3, B1 etc.

Nah, as track numbers.

Different sides of a cassette, vinyl record etc. are still the same medium.
