blank entry could mean that someone just hasn't bothered to enter it yet. '[no label]' is explicit

having nothing there *does* mean nobody's bothered to enter it

question: a cassette has (unlisted) spoken interludes between some of the songs. 2 Release entries are present, 1 which lists them as [spoken #x], 1 which doesn't list them. should 1 be a 'pseudo-release' of the other?

th1rtyf0ur: a cassette tracklist should follow the tracklist on the cover (if it exists), so that one should definitely be official.

since it's a cassette, there aren't actual tracks to distinguish separation

ok, maybe this makes it easier- there are bootleg CDs that include the cassette on it, which separate the tracsk

yes

merging keeps the mbids, so anyone with the old mbid will be able to find the new one

the recording page already shows you though...

those list all the other recordings of a work, but unless they all have detailed disambiguation notes, you don't know what releases they appear on w/o clicking on each one

either artist/MBID/recordings or recording/MBID

recording/mbid does list the releases

recording/MBID lists the releases for *that* recording, but not for all the other recordings of the same work

it justs lists them as '[live ][cover ]recordings: work (disambig.)'

for most things I'll be able to tell by what releases it's on whether it's the same recording or not

but it'll probably take a loot of loading, since it'll have to query each recording entry for releases
