What do you all think? More ‘thematic’ and stronger impact, but not redesigning all the elements themselves, so not too much re-coding

aerozol: but replacing the tag means people cannot actually use an aliased tag even if they want to, then - for example, maybe someone wants to tag with "rap" rather than "hip hop" specifically

      • aerozol
I’m not saying I think it’s better heh, it’s just what I assumed we would do. But as a database we standardize stuff anyway, e.g. if you want to store your own version of an album name you have to do it in your tags, so I don’t think it would be unexpected
      • 2022-12-01 33549, 2022

      • aerozol
If we can store both without it being confusing I think that’s great (but I suspect it will be confusing…)

Well, tags have always been the thing that is fully up to the user, I wouldn't want to break that if at all possible
      • 2022-12-01 33505, 2022

      • CatQuest
i'd expct it as "you tag with whatever" but it counts as the standardised thing
      • 2022-12-01 33514, 2022

      • CatQuest
so if i tag with "rap" it counts as hip hop
      • 2022-12-01 33530, 2022

      • CatQuest

      • 2022-12-01 33505, 2022

but i'd also except that if i tag both "rap" and "hip hop" it would only count once and be "merged"

      • 2022-12-01 33510, 2022

      • CatQuest
it would only count as one
      • 2022-12-01 33519, 2022

      • CatQuest
in genre. but for folksonomy tag it woudl be all those
      • 2022-12-01 33551, 2022

      • CatQuest
        well no
      • 2022-12-01 33521, 2022

      • CatQuest
I'd except on "hip hope2 it would show "# instances tagged as rap, # instances tagged as hip-hop" etc
      • 2022-12-01 33549, 2022

      • CatQuest

there seem to be more people importing listens, but nothing that should cause real problems.

yvanzo: iiuc, MB had increased 5xx near 9:05, following which gaga load began to increase. i think gaga's extra load is the effect not the cause.

due to some reason, pg bouncer became unavailble for a few seconds and when that happens all containers using it as a service are restarted by consul.

its possible that due to all LB containers restarting, load on gaga increased (though can't explain it fully now, there are processes which have to do more work on startup than steady state like spotify cache updater).

do you know how to view pgbouncer logs or why pgbouncer may become unavailable in consul temporarily?
