        Lol, I was also fighting with Ogg files yesterday because ffmpeg shows their metadata/tags as if they were attached to the audio stream while for all other formats which I had tested (FLAC, MP3, MP4, MKV etc.) they are attached to the container.

        @outsidecontext @kellnerd well, they're opus so one can presume they didn't start life as opus, they were converted from something else lossy that was probably not mp3 (for idiosyncratic reasons).

        I don't know how you can tell where the tags are attached, but the conversion was done by ffmpeg and I find it unlikely that none of the 400 opus files had gone through picard at least once since they were converted.

        i.e., i can't prove the order but it doesn't seem reasonable that 100% of them would have been tagged prior to conversion (in fact my habit would be the opposite, convert first, finish tagging/naming/filing second).
