For the last week, I have been mostly touring Europe. Didn't do much work except answering some queries for mayhem and prospective GSoC applicants.

last week I worked more on JSON dump improvements (and sitemaps, as these share code), mainly converting them to use dbmirror2 packets and updating their tests, which currently build old dbmirror packets by hand (ugh)

also worked on improving tests for the FollowForeignKeys role so we can finally fix MBS-10911 (which has a mitigation in place that slows down the full dumps)

I did more of the same shit as previous week, that is working on cueshit.

It can now automatically detect the format of its input, so a lot of CLI arguments are now optional.

I also have integrated FFmpeg into it to extract embedded chapters from multimedia files and added a "split" subcommand to split multimedia content into its chapters.

Other than that I have again spent a bit of time researching ORM alternatives for BB and noted my thoughts on BB-729.

I mostly worked on reviewing PRs for BB and LB, including ansh's big PR for LB single page app

after spending a bit of time recovering from my visit to BCN, I started working on a new Ansible role for installing/managing ZooKeeper

this will be required for the new Solr deployment

I also had some preliminary discussions with mayhem regarding requirements/expectations for the new Matrix server

last week, I had a cold too, so things were a bit slower.

so I did the usual background tasks of keeping MeB running. including being accused of being criminals in Norway. or was that the week before? too many nutters to remember them all.

at the end of the week I started to play european tourguide for lucifer and started to work on the LB radio improvements again.

quite week and I dont expect this week to be much better with lucifer in town and a board meeting tomorrow evening.

Not much other than that, we have started planning for making things rock solid and driving things in a systematic fashion. After one long year, I think the apps have found the right mixture of everything and our team is rock solid
