every release that i want to load in picard fails, i need to retry it like 3-10 times till it loads.

Leo: you can check the debug log to understand what's happening (see https://picard-docs.musicbrainz.org/en/latest/tro…) but we currently have a lot of traffic from bad bots hitting our servers so it might also be related

thanks for awnsering. since i wrote my last message the error magically disappeared... lol
but in the past i was able to write at least the metadata, but this time i didnt even load the most basic data, like the release title

That's an archive.org error (cover art), not under our control

but the weird thing is in the past i was able to just ignore the error (not able to load album covers) and just write the metadata and adding a local cover art file to it. but now it wont even show the normal (basic) release info

Leo: That's odd,cover art errors should not prevent the metadata being loaded. Is the archive.org error the only one in the logs, or is there maybe also an error loading from musicbrainz.org ?

Also are you running the latest stable version 2.13 or one of the version 3 development or beta releases?
