is there a timeout for cover art uploads? trying to upload a 4,5mb cover and it keeps failing toward the end of "uploading image"

always fails at the same place, and fortunately for you all, opening devtools is a reliable way to cause my firefox to crash in later versions

so i cant even view the network requests

wonder if next update will fix that and i'll have something more to look at...

Could somebody who's familiar with Japanese releases take a look at this edit for me? I'm pretty sure I did this right by the recording style guidelines (make recording artist match track listing) but I've received a no vote. https://musicbrainz.org/edit/104139455

yayako: it would help if you put an edit note that explains why you are making that change. Right now a voter only sees you removing information without context.

I think in this particular case, I probably would copy the vocal credit into the track (and recording) artists, despite not being explicitly listed like that on the album art. The particular formatting to use is kind of a mess tho.

Having only the group artist on these solo character songs isn't very useful, and means the release and recordings don't get shown on the character/vocalist release or recordings tabs.

(instead, they're only shown on the relationships tab instead if the vocalist relationship is present)

in particular, i don't think there's any reason to have the track artists be different from the release artist here.

kepstin: that same edit note was referred to for one change that was *not* simply credited as the release artist, however! The credits for that track are for two different characters who have two different vocalists

two tracks/recordings, technically

not to mention that the same recordings appear on different albums where the simplified credit is written, I can name multiple places aside from the album artwork where tracks are credited as I wrote but only one kind of place where they're credited as they currently are (online retailers)

ah, the retailers only mention the overall release and not the tracks actually

I would certainly agree in the case of typical anime music character songs but I'm not really sure if these releases fill the same role?

I just find it a little hard to wrap my head around formatting used by online retailers for only one release in a release group, not actually on the release, applying to every recording across all releases
