<02UltimateRiff> @3dj. unfortunately those links rarely get added to MusicBrainz recordings, since the only way to do it currently is to manually add them to each track on the release. that said, there might be a way to get them via the Spotify/Deezer/YouTube/etc APIs once you have the release links from MusicBrainz (I've got no experience with APIs, might be better to ask over in #development (bridged to #MetaBrainz on IRC)

<12lazybookwyrm> I normally use standalone recordings for stuff like videos of artist performances at live events (like radio studios or concerts) where the recordings are official and uploaded by the event but I wouldn't necessarily consider them part of the artist's discography

<02UltimateRiff> lw: the barcode is in the page source on Bandcamp, I think it's listed as UPC or barcode, I forget... there's very few stores that show the barcode publicly, but many of them reveal them through their API or some other hidden trick
