Hi! I fixed the name of a release group ( https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/548212d0-49… ). Do I need to fix the title of the according release as well? If yes, in the edit mask the name of the release group is still the old one (I assume because my edit of the group is pending). Do I have to change it there as well? or should I rather wait until the release group edit is

You can change the release as well, and link the release group edit in the edit note of the release edit

^^ when necessary to update release and release group title at the same time, it's more efficient to do so on the release first, cuz it gives u the additional option "update release group name" which will create both edits at once when you're done \:)

zoedivision[m]: thanks, good to know :) So I have to wait now for the edit on the release group to go through before I edit the release?
Usually the label of hoyo stuff is Hoyomix. Let me check

There's a Spotify release, but Spotify on mobile is just impossible to see the release, so I can't put it in harmony yet. I'll see tonight

I've been working on importing an Japanese Roxy Music tribute compilation, and it's been vexing since half of them are pretty obscure-ish performers

and I'm stuck now on this one band that appears to have had a few releases and one-offs. They're called 'After Me', and MB currently has precisely one entry for a band called that, but the catch is, it's a track on a *South African* compilation, and I just cannot tell with certainty if it's the same group or not, cuz the info available for *compilation* is so sparse

and basically I'm not sure whether it's better to link with the existing entry, with the possibility of splitting them later if necessary; or vice-versa, create new now with possibility of merging later.

Merging is always easier than splitting, so when in doubt I normally go with seperating
