That "PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR" means that there was plain HTTP content in the stream, but you're using HTTPS.
      • 2026-04-06 09638, 2026

      • VxJasonxV[m]
Something on your local network, or perhaps as far out as your ISP, is serving some kind of error page instead of allowing the mbz content. You should be able to see it if you use a non-browser, like curl or an API client or something that will fetch plain HTTP with no HSTS or other user-protecting features.
      • 2026-04-06 09655, 2026

      • VxJasonxV[m]
(I may or may not have dealt with a support request involving that specific error in Firefox in the last month or so.)
      • 2026-04-06 09643, 2026

      • VxJasonxV[m]
I don't know if you're IP banned, but the injected HTTP content in lieu of MBz is trying to tell you something about why the error is happening, but because TLS is meant to guarantee the integrity of the data, you just get a gnarly TLS error in the browser instead.

Yea, the "your IP might have been blocked because it is shared with someone using one of these" reasoning makes no sense. I pay for dedicated IP - it's not shared with anyone outside my household. And there's 2 PCs here, mine and the GF. And she has no idea what MusicBrainz is lol.

And I've only fetched metadata through Picard - so either they have REALLY low ratelimit that just bans you if you exceed it - or .. Idk, some weirdness going on.

hi there, hope you guys are doing well, if anyone has some time to review this ticket: https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/CB-470?filt…, I would just like to know if it would be possible to merge it considering it was correctly implemented. As mentioned, I am building an app that displays critiquebrainz reviews and would love to have a component that displays the count of reviews per rating count. Thanks in advance

lindenkron#0: sadly the anti-bot measures have to resort to even bigger guns than blocking individual IPs like instead banning whole subnets
      • 2026-04-06 09637, 2026

      • lindenkron0[m]
I mean if you're an AI scraper - you have money for any VPN you want I'd assume 😛
      • 2026-04-06 09637, 2026

      • elomatreb[m]
because a common strategy for "AI" scrapers these days is to hijack or even pay people for using their residential IPs for scraping
      • 2026-04-06 09658, 2026

      • elomatreb[m]
VPN services are fairly easy to block on the providers side if you want to
      • 2026-04-06 09614, 2026

      • elomatreb[m]
because it's fairly easy to tell the IP blocks that are used by the companies
      • 2026-04-06 09635, 2026

      • lindenkron0[m]
That's what confuses me - they *haven't* blocked VPNs. But my privately used IP is banned - that isn't used by anyone else.

reosarevok[m]: I'm pretty sure if both then I might have to do it at release level

      • hypeventure[m]

Track level is the desired level if you know that it applies to all tracks

      • reosarevok[m]
Release level only if you have "vocals by X" on a release or whatnot and you don't know to what specific tracks that credit applies

      • reosarevok[m]
Yes, then those credits can be batch-added to all tracks

        This goes in track/recording level?
      • 2026-04-06 09644, 2026

      • reosarevok[m]
Yep. Well, composed goes on the work, produced and vocals and recording engineer are all recording level

reosarevok[m]: Anyways, Does Ayuki Sana's profile/artist entry needs any updates?

      • hypeventure[m]

Since I'm pretty much did everything in the song except perform and record the vocals... How I should be credited?
