Yeah I rarely mark something an EP unless it is explicitly stated somewhere on the release. Can be tricky with digital since sometimes streaming services will automatically mark something as an EP solely based on its length

Keep in mind that it's perfectly normal for a "single" to have 2 songs, and with the switch to cds and digitial distribution there's no real limitation that stops them from including additional tracks and making a single with an "A" side, "B" side, and "C" side :) (or just adding bonus stuff like remixes or karaoke versions)

Note that for "double A side" singles without a release title provided by the artist, the normal thing to do is title them with the names of both songs using the split release style, "First Song / Second Song"

Streaming has also caused an increase in “waterfall” singles where every successive single has the previous singles included in it, building up to a full release. So you can end up with “singles” that are 90% the length of a full album sometimes.

I also have several "single collection" releases which are the other way around, compilation albums which collect things previously released as individual singles :)
hi, is there a way to tell Picard (2.3.1) to embed a different cover art, not just the first one available?

picard picks the first cover of type 'front' from the selected release (or release group, if the release doesn't have cover art, i think). if you're getting the wrong cover - do you have the right release selected? is the cover art type set correctly on the release?
